Immigration
Present your passport and your printed or digital visa. Fingerprints and a photo are usually taken at the first entry. Keep your return ticket and accommodation details at hand.
Customs
Alcohol, pork products, narcotics and pornographic material are strictly prohibited. Some medicines require a prescription: carry it with you, in the original packaging. Declare large sums of cash as required.
Getting around
Main airports offer taxis, ride-hailing apps and, in several cities, rail links. For Umrah, the Haramain high-speed train connects Jeddah, Makkah and Madinah.
